  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The Canada international was sent down the left wing and took on Antonio Rudiger, cutting inside against the defender and then lashing it towards goal with his weaker right foot. The ball curled beyond Andriy Lunin to put the German side 1-0 up in the second leg of the semi-final tie, and 3-2 ahead on aggregate.

  Shortly after his goal, Madrid managed to pull level when the ball was knocked past Manuel Neuer, but the effort was ruled out after a VAR review showed that Nacho had pushed Joshua Kimmich to the ground. Madrid eventually got one that counted, though, when Vinicius Junior's shot was kept out by Manuel Neuer and substitute Joselu nipped in to fire in from close range and make it 3-3 on aggregate.

  WHAT NEXT FOR DAVIES?

  Bayern full-back Davies will hope to have impressed Madrid in his performance as a winger at the Santiago Bernabeu given he has been linked with a move to the Spanish champions amid his contract standoff with the Bavarian side.
