Whatever Andre Villas-Boas has put in the North London water, it’s working. To offer a suitable analogy Spurs are similar to a runaway freight train gathering speed down a very sheer slope. Four wins on the spin in the Premier League and five from the last seven in all competitions illustrates a remarkable turnaround in fortune for the club and Villas-Boas. There were fears that the task of replacing and delivering success on a similar level to Harry Redknapp would prove too much to handle for the Portuguese coach following his demoralising spell down the road at Stamford Bridge. But amongst the waves of negativity he has emerged with fists clenched ready to tackle anything in his path and Spurs are benefiting from that. Some of the football they’ve played in the last two or three weeks has been nothing short of excellent and ruthlessly efficient . If they can maintain this momentum there is no reason why Spurs can’t mount a serious challenge to rival the current top three in the coming months.
This week on FFC is it the time for Villas-Boas to initiate the next level of his Spurs master plan and which German midfielder is wanted at White Hart Lane?

“You want to know that if you are playing well and you are training well you will be in the team. It’s not nice when there are favourites, I think AVB has brought that into the team and I am happy. The manager has come in, he’s brought a few youngsters in, myself included, and he has pushed a few of us forward. When I came back he said I was in his plans, so I have to trust that and be patient and so far it has worked well. The main thing now is that I’m going into the international break having played in the team.I have played in a few games now and my confidence is up.” Steven Caulker says he is keen to seize his chance at Tottenham
